Specifications of Fire Pump Group Control System

Manual Motor Fire Pump Group/Diesel Fire Pump Group

Comprised of motor fire pump, diesel fire pump group, public chassis, outlet pipeline and different valves. Manually controlled operation for pump groups. Fuel tank with operation capacity of 6 hours for Diesel fire pump. Staring cabinet and manual button box with the motor fire pump group, makes control easy and feasible.

Other than all the structures in the manual group, it has an automatic control panel with PLC as its main component.

Automatic Control Panel Function

When the automatic control panel receives fire alarm signal, it automatically starts the motor fire pump group.

If the pressure of pipeline network is normal 15s after motor fire pump group starts, the start of the  motor fire pump  is successful, and the control panel instructs the pump group to put in fire fighting operation. If the pressure of pipeline network doesn’t display, the start of the motor fire pump fails. Automatic control panel sends out instructions ro start Diesel fire pump group immediately.

After the successful start is confirmed by PLC, the engine is throttled up automatically, and the revolution speed of the pump group is increased till it reaches its full capacity.

During the operation of the fire pump group, the control system automatically monitors the operation parameters of the pump group. Automatic sound and light alarm will be started in case of malfunction.

Automatic control system alarms when following situations appear:

Starting failure: After Diesel fire pump group receives start signal, if the starting revolution speed are slower than the idling speed for consecutive 3 times of trial, starting failure can be determined, and sound and light alarm needs to be sent out.

Starting failure of motor fire pump group.

When malfunctions appear in the operation of Diesel fire pump group, such as high water temperature, low oil pressure, low fuel level, exceeding speed, battery staring failure, panel battery failure.

When speed exceeds its limit, it will automatic shut down in emergency simultaneously.

Shudown Status

Set the selector switch of the automatic control panel as “Automatic”, the following functions can be performed:

The engine throttle rod of the Diesel can automatically be reset to “Automatic” position.

Floating charge of the battery is performed by the control system.
