Product Introduction
WZ Series Pressure Boosting and Stabilizing Water Supply Equipment is usually combine with Motor Fire Pump and Diesel Fire Pump Group to form the automatic fire fighting water supply system. It can be used in large buildings, and oil depots, warehouse, wharf, petrochemical enterprise, and conferences and exhibition venues.
Pressure Boosting and Stabilizing Water Supply Equipment is also used for fire hydrant water supply systems of multi-layer or high-rise buildings, as well as wet automatic sprinkle fire fighting system, and other types of fire fighting water supply systems.
Basic Structure
The equipment is composed of diaphragm air pressure tank, regulated water pump, electronic control box, meters, pipe accessories, etc..
The manufacturing and inspection of the equipment conforms to Fixed Water Supply Equipment for Fire Protection - Part 3: Pressure Boosting and Stabilizing Water Supply Equipment for Fire Protection, GB27898.3-2011, most recent National Standard.
The air pressure vessel is manufactured in conformity to GB150 international standard.
Operational Principle
The equipment must have the following three functions:
01. The fire fighting water supply pipeline system should always maintain the pressure required for fire protection.
02. The air pressure vessel should always contain 30s water volume for fire protection. Through the operation pressure set up for the air pressure vessel, control the operation of the pressure stabilization pump, to achieve the function of pressure boosting and stabilizing. P1 stands for setting up pressure required for fire protection (Mpa).
03. In case of fire, the automatically controlled fire fighting pump starts quickly. P2 stands for starting pressure of fire pump (Mpa). PS1 stands for staring pressure of steady pressure (Mpa). PS2 stands for shutdown pressure of steady pressure pump (Mpa).
Performance
The equipment must have the following three functions:
01. The electric control system of the equipment should have both automatic and manual functions, and connects to the network of fire fighting control center or fire fighting pump house.
02. A parallel system of two alternative steady pressure water pumps, one in use and the other as reserved; operated in turn, and with automatic switch.
03. Normally, the fire fighting pipe network is kept in high pressure status, and certain amount of water should be kept in the vessels. Due to reasons such as leakage, when the system pressure falls down to PS1, No. 1 pump will automatically start. And when water pressure rises and stops at PS2, and next time the pressure falls down again to PS1, No. 2 pump will automatically start. The operation performs alternatively like this for the system pressure to remain between PS1 and PS2.
Operation Control Process
Based on calculation, the fire fighting pressure of the fire hydrant or automatic sprinkle fire fighting system is set up P1, which is used as the air filing pressure of the air pressure vessel. After calculating the specifications of the selected air pressure vessels, P2 is obtained. PS1= P2+A, PS2=PS1+B. In normal times, if leakage occurs in the pipeline system, steady pressure pump needs to be controlled for continuously replenishing water and stabilizing pressure. Starting and shutdown is to be performed continuously between PS1 and PS2. In case of fire, the pipeline system is in great shortage of water, causing PS1 pressure to fall (PS1→PS2). When the pressure falls down to P2, alarm signals will be sent out. The fire pump starts immediately (manual or automatic start is determined by the designer). After fire pump starts, the steady pressure pump automatically stops. Wail till the operation of fire pump stops, manually reset the control functions of the equipment.
